3D Movies – Have We Had Enough of Them Yet?

4 Jul

Hot off the press is the announcement of a 7th Texas Chainsaw Massacre  film, due for release in October 2012, this time in 3D (a first for this particular franchise).

But are we getting sick of 3D films? The technology is improving, yet it seems to be in place of the story and quality of the script (see: Green Lantern). Once just a fad for the horror genre and kid’s movies, now the 3D movie is king.

Check out the a list of just some of the 3D movies released/ set for release this year below (complete with link to imdb.com page):

The Green HornetSanctumDrive AngryRioThor, Priest, Kung Fu Panda 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Cars 2, Transformers: The Dark of the Moon, Captain America: The First Avenger, Final Destination 5, Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World, Happy Feet 2.

If none of those titles float your boat, have a look at the image below – Every 3D movie ever made!
